Katschberg Tunnel Toll Austria

The Katschberg Tunnel extends over a length of 5,898 meters and is part of the Tauern Autobahn (A 10). It also functions as a border tunnel between the Austrian federal states of Carinthia and Salzburg. This tunnel plays a crucial role in connecting the Carinthian Katschtal via the Katschberg with the Lungau in Salzburg. It is therefore of great importance for the traffic route from Villach to Salzburg. The sections between the Katschberg Tunnel and the Tauern Tunnel, including the passage through both tunnels themselves, are classified as so-called special toll routes. This means that they are exempt from the vignette requirement, like all other special toll routes in Austria.
